Tipi Calderon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tipi Calderon made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Lekberg in the 10th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Kim Lekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Kim Lekberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Lekberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Tipi Calderon in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kim Lekberg struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes. The crowd rose to their feet as Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tipi Calderon. That made the score 2-1 after 33 minutes of play. Yves Dervaux's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tipi Calderon firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 37th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tipi Calderon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Club Atletico Los Andes got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Riells. Kim Lekberg struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kim Lekberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Tipi Calderon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, Kim Lekberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Casper Claes. The goal made the score 2-2. Tipi Calderon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Kim Lekberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Los Andes's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Lekberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kim Lekberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, Kim Lekberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Casper Claes. The goal made the score 2-3. Club Atletico Los Andes's Eusebio Cordarrel was substituted for Tomáš Lamačka. Club Atletico Los Andes's Kaj Skager was substituted for Kim Lekberg. Kaj Skager's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Club Atletico Los Andes's Tipi Calderon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Tipi Calderon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Kaj Skager sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Belgium booed when Club Atletico Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Eguerdi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
