The wind increased when Ivan Nisio made the kick off in the second half. Luis Mejía came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. But to his dismay, Daniel Pimentel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 53 minutes into the match, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Luis Mejía reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Mejía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Luis Mejía was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Mejía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 64th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Ivan Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Mejía was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Garoa in the 80th minute of play. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ made a substitution. Tomáš Kožený replaced Melchor Garoa. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Mehmet Halis Özkoc was substituted for Emiliano Mikelar. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Semih Recai was substituted for Ivan Nisio. Felipinho Amorims short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Luis Mejía to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
