The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Capua Whitewolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mait Pihl should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mait Pihl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mait Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gedson Fernandes in the 31st minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andres Oper. Thanks to some nice moves Andres Oper could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Arnout Reekers however easily saved by the left post. In the 41st minute of the match Capua Whitewolves got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Afonso Sampaio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Capua Whitewolves's Afonso Sampaio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 44th match minute, Capua Whitewolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gedson Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Andres Oper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
