The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Rizescu got free with Arnout Reekers in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fragmenty Nietoperzy's Czeslaw Tyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Fragmenty Nietoperzy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Czeslaw Tyski having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute of play forced Fragmenty Nietoperzy's goalkeeper Czeslaw Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borys Charamut received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Borys Charamut slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 39th minute. After 42 played minutes Fragmenty Nietoperzy got a freekick which was hit by Wladyslaw Rzegotka. After 43 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Fragmenty Nietoperzy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pawel Pryputnicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fragmenty Nietoperzy made a substitution. Ksawery Traczewski replaced Caradaro Teijeira. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Maciej Zyskowski's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maciej Zyskowski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Netherlands. Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Czeslaw Tyski. 1-1. Czeslaw Tyski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 55th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Czeslaw Tyski made a huge save. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Rizescu in the 66th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radowit Niewiadomski in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Wladyslaw Rzegotka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Wladyslaw Rzegotka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Fragmenty Nietoperzy's Czeslaw Tyski got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Fragmenty Nietoperzy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Czeslaw Tyski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Czeslaw Tyski saved Fragmenty Nietoperzy from getting behind. Pankracy Nakonieczny kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Pawel Pryputnicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
