Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Everardo Huguet took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute Everardo Huguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Wesselbend's Everardo Huguet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benard Ngamta, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jurgen Goris saved Wesselbend from getting behind. David Eikelkamp was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Wesselbend's Jurgen Goris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 27th minute of play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute of play forced Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurgen Goris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of the match. Everardo Huguet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Wesselbend's Jonáš Baroš was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Wesselbend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominick Colebrants didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jurgen Goris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 72nd minute of play forced Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Wesselbend's Jurgen Goris. Jurgen Goris was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Van Hemel, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. A hard shot 95 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented Jurgen Goris managed to make a qualified save. Wesselbend's players were relieved. Gustaaf Groeneveldt had several of the Wesselbend's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Jurgen Goris as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
