The supporters of Netherlands booed when Misericordia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio-Roberto Dinamite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 33rd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play.
