In the 6th minute José San Martín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batı Tomurcuk in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, José San Martín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caroya Forever's supporters crossed their fingers, but José San Martín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Caroya Forever getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Flavio Federigo hit a great ball. Caroya Forever's Hugo Ibar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José San Martín in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Caroya Forever's Batı Tomurcuk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of play forced Caroya Forever's goalkeeper Hugo Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Caroya Forever getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Constantino Ihazintu hit a great ball. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Eikelkamp took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Ibar. Hugo Ibar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Caroya Forever's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Ibar came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hugo Ibar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleksander Fafinski in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Caroya Forever's Hugo Ibar. Hugo Ibar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 46 played minutes Caroya Forever got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Corderro. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Ibar having to make a save.

The wind increased when Batı Tomurcuk made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hugo Ibar. That made the score 1-4 after 54 minutes of play. In the 56th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Ibar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José San Martín, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Hugo Ibar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Aleksander Fafinski made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. In the 72nd minute Aleksander Fafinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batı Tomurcuk in the 76th minute of play. Caroya Forever's Hugo Ibar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 77th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Ibar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 82 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented Hugo Ibar managed to make a qualified save. Caroya Forever's players were relieved. The corner led to Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 88 minutes into the match, José San Martín had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José San Martín was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batı Tomurcuk in the 94th minute of play. In the 98thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caroya Forever's Hugo Ibar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Caroya Forever.
