Tomás Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 4th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Bonifaco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Fidele. In the 15th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yves Dervaux to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bartolo Ishmael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Ishmael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Torino FC got a freekick which was hit by Arí da Fonseca. Tomás Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Torino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Fidele in the 51st minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Bonifaco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Bonifaco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomás Bonifaco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans-Hermann Spieler during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Torino FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hans-Hermann Spieler hit a great ball. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Edward Vanderstraeten sped through Torino FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomás Bonifaco. Torino FC's Pankracy Imbor was substituted for Abelardo Tonio. Tomás Bonifaco came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 94th match minute, Torino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakub Zbydniowski to maneuver through the defense. The Torino FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Belgium were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
