The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agilo Grimminger during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Croatia the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Konstantin Gnoyke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marc-Stephan Rousek fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena's protests and gave Marc-Stephan Rousek a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena's Marc-Stephan Rousek got a free kick in the 34th minute. Dinko Stankovic struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Burkhard Ehlert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croatia. Patrik Terzic charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrik Terzic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederik Kehl made a kick off. After some careless play in the ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena defense, Dinko Stankovic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Burkhard Ehlert. The ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Burkhard Ehlert should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Teo Gudelj in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena's Siegfried Schweer. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Eduard Kostelac hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Croatia's Dinko Stankovic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Burkhard Ehlert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Burkhard Ehlert was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Damir Pongrac capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damir Pongrac really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Burkhard Ehlert came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Toni Mauzer. But to his dismay, Toni Mauzer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederik Kehl, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Dinko Stankovic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Burkhard Ehlert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Burkhard Ehlert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damir Pongrac in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agilo Grimminger to maneuver through the defense. When David Enderle fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena's protests and gave David Enderle a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena got a freekick which was hit by David Enderle. Burkhard Ehlert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Mauzer in the 96th minute. When the match was over Croatia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ÇılgınGençler ☾✯RüyaArena throughout the match.
