Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luiz Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alex de Barros was slow to take the kick. During this time Sangue nos Zóio's players had a chance to rest. Miguel Lito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, Sangue nos Zóio's Miguel Lito made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Miguel Lito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Lito in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute Sangue nos Zóio were awarded a corner. Alex de Barros went to the cornerflag to take it. 33 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Corderro came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Dave Rebours threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Lito came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sangue nos Zóio were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Sangue nos Zóio's corner Alex de Barros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but André Luiz Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Luiz Reis saved Sangue nos Zóio from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Felipe Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Luiz Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. André Luiz Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 71st minute of play. André Luiz Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but André Luiz Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Miguel Lito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sangue nos Zóio's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Lito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Portugal booed when Sangue nos Zóio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ola Cavia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Dave Rebours threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sangue nos Zóio's André Luiz Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 86th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Lito in the 93rd minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Miguel Lito sent off a good shot on target. Portugal succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Sangue nos Zóio had controlled the match.
