Sreten Popovic started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Serbia getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Zivko Cvetkovic hit a great ball. After having played for 4 minutes, David Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GAVIÕES F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Leme came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of GAVIÕES F.C booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borjan Golubovic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sreten Popovic, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Sreten Popovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Juvenal Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Hílton Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
