The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Santo during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Aristides Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Italy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
