Víktor Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Kostelac came free, but Pedro Luiz Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luiz Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Mauzer went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the game, Croatia's Damir Pongrac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luiz Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Pedro Luiz Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 31st minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Bosak, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The wind increased when Toni Mauzer made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Lobo Guará defense, Damir Pongrac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luiz Simões. The Lobo Guará fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luiz Simões should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luiz Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Mauzer in the 56th minute. Lobo Guará's Cacá de Lara managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Neven Culina in the 59 minute of the game. Dinko Stankovic kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 62 played minutes, Lobo Guará's Gino Cerezo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ilija Skugor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lobo Guará reached it. Toni Mauzer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Pedro Luiz Simões skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Lima in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Mauzer in the 69th minute of play forced Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Mauzer. Glauco Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. Lobo Guará's Dário Lima quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Silvije Santek, made in the 78th minute of the game. Dário Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Toni Mauzer got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Glauco Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Bosak's late challenge caught a Lobo Guará's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Bosak helped the player get up and apologised. Martin Bosak hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Teo Gudelj got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Damir Pongrac. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Croatia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
