Kees Mooiweer made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sacronas Futbol Club's Gilberto Fagildo. In the 34th minute Denis Stanislao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Stanislao in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 45th minute of play forced Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Santos Sidro made a huge save. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sacronas Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Gustaaf Groeneveldt rounded Sacronas Futbol Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Santos Sidro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Everardo Lore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 93rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Sidro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
