Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 17 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as GreenUnited's Max Stevens slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of GreenUnited:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Sebastián Torrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 26th minute of the match. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 78th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Torrico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in GreenUnited's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Torrico came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Sebastián Torrico made a huge save. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlomagno Vellosillo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
