Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Lito in the 2nd minute of play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Alex de Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute Alex de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Lito went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Lito, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bruno Bastos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Lito in the 24th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with André Luiz Reis in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabricio Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. André Luiz Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. André Luiz Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 72nd minute of play. If Bartolomeu Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
