The referee showed Henning Sander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cityzens Mdz's Henning Sander got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cityzens Mdz's Gustavo Loreto. Damaso Lain might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Lain ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Bruno Kaiet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
