Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zico Orange took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edinho Pirani having to make a save. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zico Orange in the 8th minute. After 11 minutes Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Casemiro Orange got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edinho Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Bruno-Henrique Orange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edinho Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 26th minute of play. Eusébio Orange scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edinho Pirani firmly grabbed it by the left post.
