Frank Sachs succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 9th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Germany's Frank Sachs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Riccardo Hofer. That made the score 2-1 after 12 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Sachs during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesper Grubb in the 16th minute of play. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Riccardo Hofer made a huge save. After 21 minutes of play, Bora Bora's Robin Mager made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. Jesper Grubb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesper Grubb, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesper Grubb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Mager in the 37th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Jesper Grubb might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesper Grubb ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Bora Bora getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Herbert Blom hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesper Grubb to make the kick off. Robin Mager's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. When Robin Mager came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Bora Bora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Mager couldn't finish the play. Egil Ekström hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riccardo Hofer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Riccardo Hofer was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Bora Bora's Robin Mager got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Riccardo Hofer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 78th minute of the match. Linus Schwerner made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bora Bora's Adrian Kuse. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Reine Åkesson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bora Bora's supporters rose to their feet, but Reine Åkesson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 93 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Bora Bora succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Germany had controlled the match.
