In the 18th minute of the match PALMEIRAS-UTAH got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reyes Boyle ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Jorge Pirani. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hungary's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Lima in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Truman Harrington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lima in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Aloísio Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Truman Harrington having to interfere. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Reyes Boyle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Lima came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Hungary players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PALMEIRAS-UTAH were winning 0-1.

Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloísio Lima in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Takacs Tibor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Truman Harrington did a great save. In the last second Fodor Daniel throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bailey Kerns in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience was convinced that Bailey Kerns's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Truman Harrington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Takacs Tibor hit a great ball. In the 64th minute Dominik Olchawa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Vito Gaines was substituted for Leonardo Frazier. In the 74th minute, Takacs Tibor made a precise shot to the right of Truman Harrington. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jorge Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. In the last second Fodor Daniel throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bailey Kerns in the 88thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reyes Boyle was slow to take the kick. During this time PALMEIRAS-UTAH's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Aloísio Lima. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Although Hungary had been in control for most of the match, PALMEIRAS-UTAH still came away with the win.
