Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Patric Isaksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Patric Isaksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 1-3 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patric Isaksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute Di Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Barrenta SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patric Isaksson quite easily take care of the ball. In the 68th minute, Agustín Tastzian made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Nariman Mansourian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Agustín Tastzian scored 3-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patric Isaksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
