An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 16th minute of play forced Central's goalkeeper Salih Orus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Meesters scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Salih Orus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salih Orus having to interfere. In the 24th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salih Orus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salih Orus was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. Salih Orus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Central's Salih Orus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 45th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Quintan in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Central's Salih Orus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Central's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Netherlands's Lars Meesters to fire away a dangerous shot which Salih Orus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Central getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Giovani Lo Celso hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Salih Orus to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Giovani Lo Celso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
