A hard shot 24 in the game by Felipe Barreto from a close distance when the talented Alfons Sjö managed to make a qualified save. Garsås IF's players were relieved. Felipe Barretos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Alfons Sjö to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute of the match, Caetano Moreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfons Sjö saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Alfons Sjö threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Caetano Moreira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfons Sjö having to make a save. The supporters of Garsås IF booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Ove Stål in the 87th minute of play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Alfons Sjö came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Caetano Moreira. But to his dismay, Caetano Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Garsås IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
