Garsås IF's Jan-Åke Jonasson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Faustino Almeida in the 9 minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Ola Lund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 53rd minute of play forced Garsås IF's goalkeeper Alfons Sjö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
