The supporters of MERT FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Linus Schwerner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes of play, MERT FC's Daniel Stålberg made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The MERT FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when MERT FC's Naci Kaynak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 38 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nurtekin Üner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nurtekin Üner was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Nurtekin Üner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 90th minute of the match. Daniel Stålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere.
