After 25 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrzej Maziarz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 37th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrzej Maziarz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 42nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Maziarz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zjem Cię's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Egbert Nijveldt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Netherlands's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Zjem Cię's zone, Mathijn Doctor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrzej Maziarz came out of the goal and Mathijn Doctor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Wim Wilmes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Andrzej Maziarz, passed just outside the right post. 68 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Andrzej Maziarz. Gustaaf Groeneveldt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Andrzej Maziarz in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 played minutes Zjem Cię got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Dembkowski. After 73 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrzej Maziarz was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mikolaj Trac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogumil Olchawa's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bogumil Olchawa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Zjem Cię getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Bogumil Olchawa hit a great ball. A hard shot 82 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented Andrzej Maziarz managed to make a qualified save. Zjem Cię's players were relieved. With a little luck, Zjem Cię's Andrzej Maziarz got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Zjem Cię's goalkeeper Andrzej Maziarz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kees Mooiweer. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrzej Maziarz having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrzej Maziarz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Netherlands played a much better game than Zjem Cię and deserved their victory. The Zjem Cię players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
