In the 33rd minute, Otomasyon Gençlik F.K.'s Güneş Süleyman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Güneş Süleyman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Güneş Süleyman to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Nordin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Otomasyon Gençlik F.K. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güneş Süleyman to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Eikelkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilmi Uyaralp in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy quite easily take care of the ball. If Hilmi Uyaralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güneş Süleyman, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 89 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Cordeal Leseduarte's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cordeal Leseduarte helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Otomasyon Gençlik F.K. got a freekick which was hit by Cordeal Leseduarte. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
