Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Rikard Björkdahl quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Gust Ennemans in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Rikard Björkdahl. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dick Vedholm. Dick Vedholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Aleksander Gustafsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksander Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dick Vedholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Dick Vedholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute of play forced Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Dick Vedholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Dick Vedholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 30th minute of play. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's attentive Szymon Pilitowski managed to snatch the ball when Gust Ennemans made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Dick Vedholm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Dick Vedholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Hockeysnubbarnas BK getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Yin Peng Yuan hit a great ball. Yin Peng Yuan kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksander Gustafsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dick Vedholm was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Hockeysnubbarnas BK made a substitution. Kent Lindberg replaced Aleksander Gustafsson. In the 67th minute, Mustafa Anıl Öveç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 70th minute of play forced Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Dick Vedholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Valrot came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
