In the 7th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Fidele to maneuver through the defense. Micah Macdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Baldomero Burutzagi made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Xavier Gallagher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Florentino Ferrer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Khalid Kennedy skillfully saved the ball. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Ferrer in the 15th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Micah Macdonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stellenbosch's Baldomero Burutzagi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Stellenbosch from getting a goal against them. After 24 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Seth Young. In the 29th minute of the match, Micah Macdonald got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baldomero Burutzagi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Baldomero Burutzagi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Baldomero Burutzagi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Baldomero Burutzagi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kyle Cox in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Stellenbosch's Maximo Uhin got a free kick in the 45th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Cox made a kick off. Micah Macdonald struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Baldomero Burutzagi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. In the 61st match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Willis to maneuver through the defense. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. Florentino Ferrer kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Baldomero Burutzagi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Macdonald in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Issac Dawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Burutzagi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, England's Kyle Cox made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomero Burutzagi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baldomero Burutzagi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 74th minute of the match. Kyle Cox struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Baldomero Burutzagi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micah Macdonald in the 86th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Baldomero Burutzagi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Burutzagi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Issac Dawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Baldomero Burutzagi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximo Uhin hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. England's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
