Erik Jilek went to the cornerflag to take it. Erik Jilek made a great header on Czech Republic's corner, it was just that Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet managed to reach the ball for a save. 10 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Constant came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vitek. Terry Constant's late challenge caught a Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terry Constant helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stade Ygossais getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Terry Constant hit a great ball. The supporters of Stade Ygossais booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Vitek didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Alan Rezek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Valérien Jouglet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alan Rezek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Jouglet having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Alan Rezek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Rezek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valérien Jouglet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Terry Constant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cédric Louison in the 47th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Stade Ygossais booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bohumir Kohout didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Denis Dostal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valérien Jouglet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After 59 minutes Stade Ygossais's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erik Jilek who took care of the corner kick. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cédric Louison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Daniel Vitek hit a great ball. Valérien Jouglet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Rezek, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Valérien Jouglet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Rezek in the 66th minute of play. When Czech Republic's Erik Jilek in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alan Rezek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Jouglet having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Czech Republic's Erik Jilek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valérien Jouglet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Alan Rezek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valérien Jouglet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Valérien Jouglet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Jilek went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. If Denis Dostal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98th minute Erik Jilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valérien Jouglet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Czech Republic had won after a very even match.
