The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antoni Beninda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th match minute, Vila Zumbi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Lars Meesters charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Vila Zumbi booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Meesters didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Golo Cabezudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 98th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. The Vila Zumbi players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
