After having played for 10 minutes, Mili Martin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Twierdza Osowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mili Martin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Kartal Başar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim. Kartal Başar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kartal Başar might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kartal Başar ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kartal Başar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mili Martin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Bruno Bastos in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Twierdza Osowiec's Kevinn Dolar. In the 31st play minute Kartal Başar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wilson Amorim. 2-0. The throw-in from Jaap Stam in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kartal Başar in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Twierdza Osowiec's Ricardo Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Portugal's Caetano Moreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Hendrickx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 46th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Bastos to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Kartal Başar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Kartal Başar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Twierdza Osowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kartal Başar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Kartal Başar made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Portugal made a substitution. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Kartal Başar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Portugal's attentive Rodolfo Miranda managed to snatch the ball when Jaap Stam made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Bartolomeu Dias struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ricardo Hendrickx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. With 95 minutes on the clock, Rodolfo Miranda commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Twierdza Osowiec a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jaap Stam, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. 5-1. Twierdza Osowiec's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
