Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Santxol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten made a precise shot to the right of Salih Orus. Central's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Central's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salih Orus came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Central's goalkeeper Salih Orus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gelu Nicolau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Nicolau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Central's Salih Orus got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Central's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. Yves Dervaux scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Salih Orus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Central fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salih Orus should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Quintan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Central's Giovani Lo Celso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luisito Quintan scored 3-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edward Vanderstraeten hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The supporters of Belgium booed when Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position.
