Demetrio Magliocco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 8th minute of the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kdz.Ereğli SPOR's goalkeeper Demetrio Magliocco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Demetrio Magliocco. Kdz.Ereğli SPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 21st minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Magliocco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karadeniz Metehan in the 25th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Prodan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 84thth minute of the game Lv Wei Guang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lv Wei Guang's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Magliocco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 90 minutes on the clock, Egbert Nijveldt commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 89th minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. The referee gave Kdz.Ereğli SPOR a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karadeniz Metehan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karadeniz Metehan in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kdz.Ereğli SPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
