A hard shot 6 in the game by Paulo Cruz from a close distance when the talented Khalid Kennedy managed to make a qualified save. England's players were relieved. With a little luck, England's Khalid Kennedy got control of the ball when Douglas Basso tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, England's Xavier Gallagher got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Kyle Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Cox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Gallagher's late challenge caught a SANTOS F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavier Gallagher helped the player get up and apologised. Xavier Gallagher kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With his leg Khalid Kennedy managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when SANTOS F.C's Douglas Basso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Khalid Kennedy was a little too slow when George Öfverman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Manfredo Bueno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Khalid Kennedy. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Nicholas Latifi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Macdonald in the 31st minute of the match. England's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Micah Macdonald in the 33rd minute. England's Micah Macdonald was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicholas Latifi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulo Cruz came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Khalid Kennedy could save by the left post. SANTOS F.C were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after England's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manfredo Bueno took the corner. After taking down the ball on SANTOS F.C's corner Manfredo Bueno fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Khalid Kennedy quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manfredo Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Micah Macdonald recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicholas Latifi. Micah Macdonald showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Douglas Basso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalid Kennedy having to interfere. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Cruz in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Öfverman in the 66th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Latifi having to interfere. In the 74th minute Manfredo Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, England's Kyle Cox ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicholas Latifi. Nicholas Latifi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Douglas Basso took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Khalid Kennedy. Khalid Kennedy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 80th minute, Rômulo Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Micah Macdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Nicholas Latifi made a huge save. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANTOS F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Micah Macdonald was slow to take the kick. During this time England's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Xavier Gallagher at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SANTOS F.C. 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS F.C's zone, Kyle Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Latifi came out of the goal and Kyle Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Öfverman hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Durvalino Guerra's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
