Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ulrich Stein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute Oxarra Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oxarra Bernaldo in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. When C. D. Guayaquil's Leo Løhr in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Løhr in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Løhr came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Aires Cendegui made a huge save. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oxarra Bernaldo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The C. D. Guayaquil fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when C. D. Guayaquil's Oxarra Bernaldo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C. D. Guayaquil's Rúben Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 minutes of play, C. D. Guayaquil's Perrando Urive made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the game, Oxarra Bernaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in C. D. Guayaquil's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aires Cendegui came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oxarra Bernaldo in the 42nd minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perrando Urive in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44thth minute of the game Oxarra Bernaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Oxarra Bernaldo came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half C. D. Guayaquil were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oxarra Bernaldo made a kick off. Aires Cendegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 53rd minute of play. If Perrando Urive had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rúben Costa came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the C. D. Guayaquil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rúben Costa couldn't finish the play. Aires Cendegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 61st minute of play. C. D. Guayaquil were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oxarra Bernaldo took the corner. Oxarra Bernaldo made a great header on C. D. Guayaquil's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. 64 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Rúben Costa came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, C. D. Guayaquil's Leo Løhr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oxarra Bernaldo was slow to take the kick. During this time C. D. Guayaquil's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Zabal Arellano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ulrich Stein hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Oxarra Bernaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Oxarra Bernaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 91 in the game by Oxarra Bernaldo from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. 94 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Løhr. After 96 minutes, Leoverliz Alcain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. D. Guayaquil and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to C. D. Guayaquil getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Leoverliz Alcain hit a great ball. C. D. Guayaquil's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
