Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Denmark's Chris Nygaard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bertram Svenningsen. In the 6th minute, Afonso Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Desportivo da Huíla's Balduíno Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Steen in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Desportivo da Huíla booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balduíno Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balduíno Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 15th minute of the match. Mikkel Wulff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Balduíno Sá having to make a save. Denmark's Lars Steen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hector Guedes in the 23 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Afonso Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desportivo da Huíla's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 26 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bjarne Kirkegaard. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Vasques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Bertram Svenningsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Balduíno Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hipólito Areosa. In the 36th minute, Afonso Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Desportivo da Huíla booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Desportivo da Huíla's zone, Bertram Svenningsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balduíno Sá came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Vasques was the one to do the kick off. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Paulo Vasques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Zamora in the 60th minute of play. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Vasques came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Paulo Vasques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hortêncio Zamora fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desportivo da Huíla's protests and gave Hortêncio Zamora a yellow card for diving instead. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Felício was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. The supporters of Denmark booed when Desportivo da Huíla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Felício didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Desportivo da Huíla's goalkeeper Balduíno Sá, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mathias Ludvigsen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Denmark:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Desportivo da Huíla:s goal. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Vasques in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute of the game Hector Guedes made a throw-in which Hipólito Areosa played forward. Malthe Lassen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Balduíno Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Malthe Lassen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malthe Lassen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malthe Lassen kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Zamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
