The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Italy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Hans:s goal. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, FC Hans's goalkeeper Timmy Kjellkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigfrido Auletta. Timmy Kjellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Waller in the 31st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viorel Moldovan made a kick off. Viorel Moldovan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timmy Kjellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sigfrido Auletta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigfrido Auletta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
