The throw-in from Leandro Gonzalez Pirez in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Cremonese's Jeremias Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 11th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Duvan Zapata tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flavio Vittori saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Lu Guang Lang came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Chucho in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duvan Zapata in the 30th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cremonese's Jeremias Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 37th minute of play. Jeremias Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cremonese's Jeremias Cruz. Jeremias Cruz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Cremonese getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Květoslav Kubalík hit a great ball. Jeremias Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porziano Marchitelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Siricio Liotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Cruz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Porziano Marchitelli sent off a good shot on target. Zaccheo Andolina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Cruz was a little too slow when Zaccheo Andolina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 65th minute, Lu Guang Lang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Vittori was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lu Guang Lang in the 73rd minute of play. Jeremias Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Guang Lang in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Zaccheo Andolina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cremonese's Jeremias Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Mauro Rexino made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. In the 91st minute Rolando Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
