In the 16th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rosario Escarza having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Rosario Escarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Du Yuan Chao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Baldomero Chano could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Du Yuan Chao to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rosario Escarza. Gijsbert ter Kruimer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Rosario Escarza made a huge save. After 66 minutes of play, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Ronny Skytt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosario Escarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosario Escarza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Egbert Nijveldt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Netherlands protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Egbert Nijveldt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 77 minutes into the game, one of Netherlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave LVCVS AVGVSTI a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Du Yuan Chao, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. 3-1. In the 84th minute of the match LVCVS AVGVSTI got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Venancio Olayo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Venancio Olayo made a great header on LVCVS AVGVSTI's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Arnout Reekers managed to reach the ball for a save.
