The referee showed Janik Vogt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janik Vogt to maneuver through the defense. CJ Streets short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. CJ Street received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brett Leeson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard and well directed shot from Grant Aldridge led 25 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-0. Connor Wright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by CJ Street. In the 33rd minute of the match Barr Point got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grant Aldridge ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 36th minute Barr Point were awarded a corner. Grant Aldridge went to the cornerflag to take it. Barr Point's Grant Aldridge was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when CJ Street sent off a good shot on target. Connor Wright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barr Point's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Sachs was slow to take the kick. During this time Germany's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Adrian Dreifuss heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. 48 minutes into the match, Barr Point's Den Newland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. Den Newland struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barr Point. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connor Wright saved Barr Point from getting behind. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Connor Wright read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Street came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Den Newland went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Vernon Messenger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Germany's Linus Schwerner got a free kick in the 72nd minute. CJ Street received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. Den Newland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Barr Point booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by CJ Street in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barr Point had played much better football throughout.
