Ricardo Lugebiel was slow to take the kick. During this time KFC Uerdingen 05's players had a chance to rest. KFC Uerdingen 05's Ago Vaasna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen 05 from getting a goal against them. It was a well-played corner which Lars Meesters managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ago Vaasna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Ago Vaasna to make any attempt to save it. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. In the 47th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ago Vaasna was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ago Vaasna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Netherlands booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Bannenbusch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bannenbusch. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Uerdingen 05's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ago Vaasna came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Luo Ying Liang tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Nowak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the KFC Uerdingen 05 defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ago Vaasna. The KFC Uerdingen 05 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ago Vaasna should have stopped the shot. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ago Vaasna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ago Vaasna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball.
