After a rather tough play, MARINUS MZC's Marcos Pimenta got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Zonta. In the 28th minute Scotland were awarded a corner. Zac O'Donnell went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 35th minute, Ayaan McGowan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. Alexander Higgins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Pimenta went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Thiago Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alexander Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Pimenta came free, but Alexander Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Higgins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago Ortiz went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half MARINUS MZC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alexander Higgins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Pimenta in the 61st minute. Fletcher Main sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of MARINUS MZC booed when Scotland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaxson Russell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Fletcher Main shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored MARINUS MZC's protests and gave Juvenal Batista a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Scotland booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Zac O'Donnell sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and MARINUS MZC's Abel Senna didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Scotland's Alexander Higgins got control of the ball when Thiago Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abel Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fletcher Main, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alex Vianna hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Scotland lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
