Khalid Kennedy came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Pehlivanköy's Mustafa Gurbet. But to his dismay, Mustafa Gurbet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Micah Macdonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Barış Çile having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Barış Çile saved Pehlivanköy from getting behind. In the 28th minute England were awarded a corner. Micah Macdonald went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pehlivanköy's goalie and right to Cooper Thompson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pehlivanköy's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Kyle Cox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pehlivanköy's Mustafa Barış Çile was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, England's Mustafa Barış Çile threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kyle Cox, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kyle Cox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Barış Çile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The corner led England's Leighton Davies to fire away a dangerous shot which Mustafa Barış Çile despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 41 played minutes Pehlivanköy got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Gurbet. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Cox stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Khalid Kennedy was a little too slow when Akil İslam got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 2-2. Kyle Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mustafa Barış Çile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyle Cox couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
