An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute of play forced AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Remo Dracena sent off a good shot on target. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-Paul van der Leegte in the 32nd minute. After 37 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Bas Tuitert. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AL TOKE FC's Denis Gilabert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

AL TOKE FC's Joaquin Luken was substituted for Bonifacio Shepherd. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remo Dracena to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Denis Gilabert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Denis Gilabert stood somewhat misplaced when Wim Wilmes came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 58 minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when AL TOKE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Orti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, David Eikelkamp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Denis Gilabert made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 97th minute, David Eikelkamp fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 99th minute of play forced AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper Denis Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
