Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Canarinho Atordoado's Peter Mpenza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Hungary's Major Barna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peter Mpenza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21st minute, Major Barna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Peter Mpenza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After 30 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peter Mpenza who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Peter Mpenza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. 31 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Mpenza came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goal looked a bit too open when Balazs Lajos came free, but Dé Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Mpenza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fodor Daniel came out and tried to block the shot, but Peter Mpenza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 37th minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Peter Mpenza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Mpenza in the 47th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hungary booed when Canarinho Atordoado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabián Nesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Peter Mpenza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canarinho Atordoado's Dé Mello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Canarinho Atordoado from getting a goal against them. Márcio Seabra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Márcio Seabra went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the game, Major Barna lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Dé Mello. Dé Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 73rd minute. Major Barna made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Canarinho Atordoado's Dé Mello managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 74th minute, Peter Mpenza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. If Peter Mpenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 91 minutes on the clock, Igor Cordeiro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 91 minutes into the game, one of Canarinho Atordoado:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Antal Valentin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 95 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dé Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Canarinho Atordoado's Peter Mpenza got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
