The supporters of MARINUS MZC booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damir Pongrac didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MARINUS MZC's zone, Damir Pongrac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Senna came out of the goal and Damir Pongrac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARINUS MZC and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Bueno hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Patrik Terzic got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 43 minutes, Erivaldo Zonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARINUS MZC and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Croatia a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Toni Mauzer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MARINUS MZC's Abel Senna. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. If Toni Mauzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Mauzer in the 63rd minute of play forced MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper Abel Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Ortiz came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Croatia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MARINUS MZC.
