Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cobos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mikkel Wulff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stelian Apostol having to make a save. A collision led to Cobos getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Patrick Lidman hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Cobos's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkel Wulff came free, but Stelian Apostol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stelian Apostol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cobos's Stelian Apostol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Leonel Chesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Denmark booed when Cobos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustacio Turi made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lino Guerrero. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Chesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stelian Apostol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 72nd minute Leonel Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Eustacio Turi in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Olav Graversen. If Olav Graversen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cobos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
