After 4 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Eric Thomi. In the 5th minute, Gurdurão's Faustão Proença dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Hias Nüssli was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Faustão Proença capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Faustão Proença really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Elton Titos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Faustão Proença dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hias Nüssli, 3-0. In the 18th minute, Gurdurão's Faustão Proença dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. If Elton Titos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Faustão Proença took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Hias Nüssli to make any attempt to save it. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Switzerland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fausto Orlondon was slow to take the kick. During this time Gurdurão's players had a chance to rest. 40 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustão Proença. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustão Proença to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Samuele Kunz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Switzerland's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuele Kunz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Proença in the 54th minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Faustão Proença made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. A beautiful save bye Switzerland's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the game, Leo Allemann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Switzerland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gurdurão the free kick. In the 68th minute, Leo Allemann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gurdurão's Fernandinho Cruz was substituted for Abel Rocio. In the 70th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Allemann to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Faustão Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gurdurão's Faustão Proença in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Silvinho Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hias Nüssli was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Allemann to maneuver through the defense. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvinho Mesquita took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hias Nüssli. Hias Nüssli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. Gurdurão's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
