Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. George Bălanescu started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 7th minute of play forced DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Gelu Balotă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torsten Lenberg during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 13 in the game by Antal Valentin from a close distance when the talented Gelu Balotă managed to make a qualified save. DINAMO PLOIESTI's players were relieved. George Bălanescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After taking down the ball on DINAMO PLOIESTI's corner Sidnei Donato fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that George Bălanescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Donato in the 20th minute of the match. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Bălanescu in the 37th minute of play. Gelu Balotă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 38th minute. George Bălanescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hungary booed when DINAMO PLOIESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Bratu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boros Benedek to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, George Bălanescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

DINAMO PLOIESTI made a substitution. Claudiu Dragan replaced Kunter Irmak. Katona Janos hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when George Bălanescu sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Dragan came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when DINAMO PLOIESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Lenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Bălanescu in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Bălanescu. With his leg Fodor Daniel managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when DINAMO PLOIESTI's George Bălanescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee ignored DINAMO PLOIESTI's protests and gave George Bălanescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes DINAMO PLOIESTI got a freekick which was hit by George Bălanescu. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Dragan in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute DINAMO PLOIESTI were awarded a corner. Sidnei Donato went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Sidnei Donato almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. DINAMO PLOIESTI's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
